Comprehensive Family Life Education

The Comprehensive Family Life Education (FLE) program provides research-based educational curriculum in a safe classroom setting. The curriculum is designed to provide families with information and coping strategies when they are experiencing problems with parenting, going through divorce, or with anger issues in the home, school, and workplace. Our trained class facilitators are available to help participants understand and apply what they learn. The FLE program also includes community  presentations on topics such as Shaken Baby Syndrome, Stress Management, and Child Sex Abuse.

To register for classes or inquire about scheduling a community presentation for your organization, please call 812-372-3745.
  • COMMON SENSE PARENTING is a skill-based parenting program that teaches parents practical and effective ways to increase their children’s positive behaviors, decrease negative behaviors and teach children appropriate alternative behaviors. This program is based on the Girls and Boys Town Teaching Model used with children in their residential care programs. Since its start, the program has served more than 200,000 parents around the world, consistently benefiting parents from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, and families with histories of child behavior problems, child abuse and neglect.
  • FOREVER PARENTS is for divorced, divorcing or never married parents and their children ages 6 to 12. The class helps divorced and divorcing parents learn ways to avoid placing their children in the middle of conflict.
  • ANGER MANAGEMENT consists of two sessions, one for teens 14-16 and the other for adults 18 years and older. The class explores the causes of anger. The goal is to work to reduce destructive responses to anger and communicate more effectively.
